We are currently producing a 100% recycled plastic board in our Columbus, Ohio
facility. Our product will take the place of the plastic wood/lumber we have sold in
the past, but will still serve the same purpose as being a less costly alternative to
expensive virgin HDPE. The fact that it is 100% recycled product means it will be
priced less than a premium grade plastic wood.
A few years back, Special Design Products set out to find a way to recycle all of our
scrap polyethylene foam. After years of research and development we now have the
ability to turn scrap foam/post-consumer packaging into a plastic log, "ZERO-WASTE
BOARD." This will eliminate the use of landfills for disposal and move us one step
further towards a 100% waste -free company.
Another great thing about this product is we can supply sizes other than the
standard 1.5" thickness. We are able to produce anything from 1/4" up to 8".
